I sat across the grand office desk of DeCarol Williamson as the president of Family Christian Network (FCN) in Costa Rica unsuspectingly told the story of how our lives and ministries had been connected by Divine evelation. Two years earlier, Mr. Williamson was approaching an auditorium where over 5,000 people were gathered for his address, when three young people in the milling crowd caught his eye. He was immediately compelled to pray for them, but the words he spoke shocked him. He boldly stated that the young man and his two sisters would be the ones who would open the doors to a spiritual awakening throughout the Spanish-speaking world. The crowded auditorium hushed just before DeCarol took the stage, but unbeknownst to him, the three siblings he had just prophesied over took the stage with a harmonious Hebrew melody that took his breath away. Read More

Every movie, every play, every story about the life of the Messiah that has ever been seen, heard, or taught in the Western world has been filtered through an invented and deceptive fairy tale that was never uttered until 300 years after the resurrection of Yahshua – the deviously invented “3½-year ministry of Jesus.” This papal fabrication was pressed forward at the point of the sword, and anyone refusing to accept this concocted dogma was pummeled or beheaded into submission to the “Vicar of Christ.” Read More

The AWAKENING IN THE WORD "Leaven Free" messianic Torah commentary based on the ancient triennial Torah cycle, in use in the land of Israel in the days of Yeshua our Messiah, is now over halfway complete. The books of Bereshit (Genesis) and Shemot (Exodus) are complete and available in several formats; Online, DVD, Audio CD, MP3, and Loose-leaf Printed Version. From the start it has been my heart to produce an extremely valuable resource for the edification of the body of Messiah.  Read More

Harkening back to the time when Yahshua said some hard things to his followers in the Galilee that caused them to turn away and no longer follow him, I realize that if I write the things I am now compelled to express, I likewise may be hard-pressed to find any friends at my side when the dust from this newsletter settles – but for the elect’s sake, I cannot be silent.   Read More

For those of us who live in the digital, high-definition, hyperspeed world of computers, cell phones, and all manner of modern technology, the simple agricultural analogies and metaphors used by Yeshua in his parables may seem a bit nostalgic or even antiquated.  But it is precisely the primitive simplicity of these parables that make them timeless.  Even in our world of processed packaged food, most people can still relate to such concepts as sowing seed and reaping harvests.  One of Yeshua's most profound teachings is the Parable of the Sower.  This parable appears in all three synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, and Luke).  In explaining this simple parable to his disciples, Yeshua reveals that it is foundational to understanding all other parables.  "And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable?  And how then will ye know all parables?" (Mark 4:13). Read More

It has been wisely observed concerning parenting that “the days never end, but the years fly by.” This phrase came to mind yesterday when I engaged a couple of young boys in conversation as I reminisced my way down Cofren Avenue in Greenville, Michigan. Fifty years ago this summer, my mother drove our 1955 Chevy station wagon down this street as we picked up the kids on the block to attend vacation Bible school. I won a new Bible for bringing the most guests that summer, but the real race was far from won. That competition was just an immature, childish rehearsal for the final finish line just ahead. Harsh realities can become inspired revelations. The cold hard facts: I cannot get on a plane to go home to Israel. I cannot walk 100 yards without inducing inflammation that will have me back on crutches or in a wheelchair. I cannot stand to lecture. I cannot sit at my desk. People pray for me and I remain frustratingly crippled. So, what can I do to fulfill my mission when it appears that I am falling apart at the seams? My only option became the answer that I was too busy to see. Read More

I had a Rood “Awakening of the Heart” during my recent mission to Germany. Do you have a few minutes? Let me tell you the story…

Holger Grimme and I were standing on the platform overlooking the railroad tracks that terminate at the Buchenwald concentration camp. A dense fog hovered over the tracks, which seemed to trail off into the mist of eternity, enveloping us in a dream-like reality. I stood in the chill of the morning, pondering the fate of those who were marched across this platform less than a decade before I was born. Though not a “death camp” by design, the intact crematorium was officially “Government rated” for the hundreds of bodies that were cast into its fiery jaws each day. Buchenwald was not large enough to rate a gas chamber, so the sick, the elderly, and the defiant who dared look a German officer in the eye, were either shot or hung on meat hooks in the basement of the crematorium until they were ready to be loaded into the machine’s steel furnace hoppers.. My chilly week in Italy ended in the Ada River outside Milan at the mikveh of a large family and with the first translation of the Astronomically and Agriculturally Corrected Biblical Hebrew Calendar into Italian (no doubt the Pope is thrilled!). The following week in Germany also resulted in the publishing of the Creator’s Calendar in German and the beginning of the German translation of our videos. I washed my clothes at home in Israel and repacked for five smoldering weeks in South Africa. In Johannesburg I was met by the new A Rood Awakening! crew who were already busy manufacturing our materials for the African continent. I spent two weeks on numerous radio programs – including two different spots on SA PR (South Africa Public Radio) – where I received a warm reception leading up to the Passover season. I contracted a vicious bronchial infection that caused me to lose my voice for four weeks, but thanks to modern amplification technology, I was able to whisper the Greatest Story Never Told with unbridled enthusiasm in the midst of raging fevers and walking pneumonia. The Church today has been rendered impotent in preparing people for the end times by the persistent preaching of “cheap grace”. Cheap grace is the notion that one may reap all of the promised benefits and blessings of God, the wealth of the nations, eternal life, complete joy, good health, and a Bentley, merely by believing in one’s heart and confessing with the lips the magical formula “I believe in Jesus.” Without so much as changing one aspect of one’s life or nature, without confession, repentance, or act of restitution, heaven can be obtained. Unfortunately thousands of believers are passively waiting in ignorance for some new anointing or a big blue bus to fall from heaven and carry them off to safety before the “Big One” comes. It is also unfortunate that so few are traveling the highways and byways to proclaim the truth. Read More

We are all quite aware that the prophetic clock is continually ticking. With economic challenges and threats of global disaster daily ssaulting our senses, it is not surprising that there is a great deal of talk about the “end times”. There has been an increase in the number of e-mails asking our thoughts on how to prepare for the last days; should we start stockpiling food and supplies, should we move away from the cities, should we be getting our tickets to Israel, should we begin setting up safe-houses, or making plans to meet with other believers at a designated location? All of these questions are valid concerns and questions. I regularly ponder how best to prepare my family for what is certain to come upon us. I have been praying ardently for wisdom on this matter. Through study and prayer I have come to the conclusion that the first thing we need to do to be prepared is to prepare our hearts. Read More

I am in Italy. I have been praying about this excursion for weeks. My course was set in motion exactly two years ago when the Israel Customs Department informed me that my 10-year-old car was too old to register in the land and would have to be deported. This week was my absolute deadline. There is a certain Divine timing and expectation woven into this trip. Yet, making even the most basic plans has been out of my control. For the two days preceding my departure I was running a high fever and could not even think clearly. The two weeks before were consumed with details surrounding the armed assault and robbery that occurred at our home in the Galilee. Read More
